Montparnasse

On this day we managed to take another successful photo. And this was more Cléa’s merit. It was she who stopped me at a certain point, showing a beautiful view. I just clicked the shutter a couple of times.

This photo laid among thousands of others, taken during this period, not standing out, and not having a great chance to be once noticed, moreover, printed.

Nevertheless, each time I flipped through my archive, I stopped at this very image. With each new time it captivated me more and more. There was some hidden, barely noticeable harmony in this photo, which was not opened to me for a long time.

As it happens with love, this inexplicable interest was soon replaced with obsession. I could not imagine my collection without this photo anymore, and when it came out of the printer, I had no more doubts that this photo, despite its spontaneity and carelessness, would become one of my favorites.

Unlike most of the aesthetic shots in this collection, on this photo, the real life is lived. We see many characters moving in different directions. From the shirts of the main characters in the photo you can guess that this is the time of business lunch, and the employees are in a hurry to have some snack in the time allocated for the break.

It is not difficult to guess the time, the epoch when this story was filmed - all the characters wear masks, and under one of them you can guess an electroscooter, so popular at this time.

A curious look can go even further in the study of the image - read the name of the street, stores, contact a gold dealer by phone, or read in the distance the name of the theater, which like a seal, assures the prevailing atmosphere of the area - "Rive Gauche".

And, of course, on the third layer, after the white shirts and even whiter Parisian facades, it is difficult not to notice the fresco of Lauren Munch, that will soon turn 30 (like me).
