Anna’s portrait

On this day I decided to come back to the black and white photography for a while. (1/3)

At that time, for about a month, my friends and I had been living in a small house in the heart of France, in a village with the strange name Chaudes-Aigues.

Cléa spent most of her childhood in this village and in this house, where her mother still lives.

At the beginning of November, after the announcement of the second quarantine, we have prepared all our staff in just one evening and left Paris the next day.

The narrow streets of Haussmannien architecture were suddenly replaced by forests, hills and vast meadows of the Auvergne region. The flat geometric lines of the city, with Parisians in between, were very suitable for black and white photography. But nature, with all its small details and a splash of autumn tones, needed colour.

And, for the first time in a long time, I switched my camera to colour mode.

To be continued…
