Getting out

On this day France started to loosen the quarantine, and it became possible to move 20 kilometers away from the isolation site.

Unlike many other walks when we tried not to go further than a kilometer from home (hopefully, we were surrounded by forests and hills), this time we took a car.

We wanted to see the nearby small villages and their sights. But the cold and gray deserted streets didn't impress us much, so we drove home.

On the way back, Alex suggested to stop at one of the hills and watch the sunset. And that was the best decision of the day.

We stopped at the first hill we saw, parked, and walked to the top.

It was at this point that the sun began to touch the horizon, painting everything around it with golden colors.

My friends and the dog were climbing higher and higher, and I kept running around them, trying to catch a good moment and make the most of those twenty minutes, until everything around us turned gray again.

That warmth and gold of the last twenty minutes of the day seemed to fill me through my camera. On the way home, I couldn't get rid of the sense of beauty that overwhelmed me in those moments.
