Papa’s portrait

On this day I decided to conquer my fear and interact more with people on the street. While previously my street portraits had mostly been done without people's acknowledgement, this time I tried asking permission.

This approach would allow me to get as close to the subject as possible without the fear of causing a negative reaction, thus ruining the mood, and the shot itself.

I noticed this guy from afar when I was strolling through the Jardin du Palais Royale. He caught my attention right away - aside from the fact that he was stylishly dressed, his loneliness was striking, in a positive way. You could see that the guy had come to the park alone. He didn't even have a bag - all his stuff (book, mask, keys and phone) fit in his hands.

It was a beautiful spring day, one of the first warm and sunny days after a long winter. And it was a typical gesture of a young Parisian - to dress nicely, take a minimum of important things (never forget the book!) and go for a walk in a beautiful square to look at people and to show himself of course.

Papa (that's his name) responded to my proposal modestly, but not without enthusiasm. Later, I saw many of his fashion photos on his Instagram.
