Raz’s portrait

On this day I was strolling around the Jardin du Palais Royale and trying to talk to passersby to take their portraits. It all started when I noticed a couple of young guys taking some sun bath.

I walked past them three times before I finally decided to approach. But I couldn't give up the idea of taking this picture up close, because the scene seemed so charismatic and filled with the sensation of a warm spring day. The guys were a little embarrassed at my suggestion, but agreed to pose for a moment anyway. I asked them to behave as they did before. I didn't want my presence to affect the aura surrounding them.

After a couple of pictures, we exchanged contacts. They liked the photo, so everyone was happy, and this gave me the confidence to continue my experiment with street portraits.
